Programme philosophy

To produce graduates with a sound foundation in science and agricultural science, with hands-on and digital skills for solving agricultural problems and communicating agricultural knowledge — together with ethics, responsibility towards society and the environment, the ability to work with others, sound professional judgement, and a contribution to the sustainable development of Thai agriculture.

About the program

The Bachelor of Science Program in Agricultural Science is the Faculty of Agriculture undergraduate programme at Kasetsart University. It offers six fields of study: Agricultural Extension and Communication, Agronomy, Entomology, Horticulture, Plant Pathology, and Soil Science. The Department of Agronomy is responsible for the Field of Study in Agronomy.

The 2026 (B.E. 2569) revision reduces the total from 140 to not fewer than 126 credits, shifts weight towards courses that build the programme learning outcomes, and lets students choose between a cooperative-education track (01015490) and a special-problems track (01003498).

Effective from the first semester of academic year 2569 (2026).

Programme objectives

  1. 1To develop graduates with accurate knowledge and understanding of science and agricultural science, with practical skills, digital skills, and the ability to communicate agricultural knowledge, so that they can analyse problems and propose effective solutions in agricultural work.
  2. 2To cultivate graduates with ethics and responsibility towards society and the environment, who can work appropriately with others and use communication skills to apply their knowledge in support of the sustainable development of Thai agriculture.

Applicants must have completed upper-secondary education or its equivalent and meet the regulations for undergraduate study of Kasetsart University, together with the University admission announcement for each academic year. The programme admits both Thai and international students and is taught in Thai and English.
