Abstract

The rubber tree (Hevea brasiliensis) is the major economic crop. Farmers need better cultivated clones but currently Thailand has not much genetic database. This case of study was about genetic diversity evaluation in early introduced clones of rubber trees (Hevea brasiliensis) at Krabi and Sakon Nakhon provinces compared with rubber clone germplasm collected from Brazil using SSR Marker. Using primers that were screened 10 primers (HB41, HB42, HB49, HB56, HB57, HB64, HB72, HB79, HB86 and HB87) for PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) technique and making Acrylamide gel electrophoresis. The data were analyzed using GenAlEx 6.501 and Past program. The results showed that percentages of molecular variance within populations are 76% and 24% are among populations. Dendrogram using data from Jaccard's analysis showed that rubber samples could be clustered into 5 groups with similarity at 0.2.
