Abstract

Comparison of spacing on bunch weight and growth of 10 years old Suratthani 2 Oil Palm on acid sulfate soils. In the oil palm Technology Development for Commercial Bio-diesel Industry in newly planted area Project (OPTD) at Nong Moo Subdistrict, Wihan Daeng District, Saraburi Province. Using a randomized complete block design (RCBD) experiment, Suratthani 2 were randomly assigned to four spacing 7 x 8.8 x 8.8, 9 x 9 x 9, 11 x 10 x 10 and 13 x 11 x 11 meters with, four repetitions. Data collections were collected for plant growth consisted of trunk height, rachis length, petiole cross section, leaflet number, leaflet width, leaf length and leaf area. Oil palm bunch weights were collected in every harvest cycle from September 2019 to August 2020. The results showed statistically significant difference between groups of plant spacing in. Highest rachis length average leaf width and. fresh fruit bunch. 7 x 8.8 x 8.8 plant spacing was significant in fresh fruit bunch with and average 3,442.86 (kg/rai/year) However, there was no statistically significant different of plant spacing in trunk height, petiole cross section, leaflet number, leaf length, leaf area and bunch number per plant per year.
