Abstract

Nowadays, consumers are paying more attention to their health and choosing nutritious foods, making processed health products popular among health-conscious consumers. Quinoa seeds are a nutritious grain, especially protein, complete amino acids that are essential for the body, vitamins, fiber and minerals. It is gluten-free, making it suitable for health-conscious consumers, including those with dietary restrictions, such as gluten intolerance or vegetarians. This research project aims to study the business plan of Cheno, a processed quinoa product, focusing on the economic value and comparing the operating costs between outsourcing (B1) and in-house production (B2) to find an efficient production approach. The project uses the Business Model Canvas framework to analyze data on costs, investment and business structure, and calculates the average cost per unit of each product flavor. The research results found that in-house production (B2) has an average cost of 16.9-18.1 baht per piece, which is 52.7% lower than outsourcing (B1) with an average cost of 38.6-40.1 baht per piece. In-house production is suitable in the long run because it reduces the cost per unit and increases the value in terms of production costs and profits, but requires higher initial investment in machinery, raw materials and team management. While outsourcing is suitable for early stage businesses to reduce process complexity and financial risk, it can be concluded that choosing the right manufacturing approach should consider the situation of the business at each stage. Effective business planning helps to promote the competitiveness and sustainability of the business in the long run.
