Effects of Sesame Varieties for Phosphorus Absorption in Paddy Soil
Abstract
Phosphorus is one of the most important elements required by plants for their growth. The element is immobilized or change easily, but make the dissolved compounds can be difficult. The plant can be useful to be reduced. It is not enough to satisfy the needs of the plant. In paddy soil with rice cultivation , phosphorus Accumulated a lot, but it is in the form of plant utilization were less. Sesame is one of the plants that have the potential to absorb phosphorus. This study, therefore, is intended to test the ability of elemental phosphorus uptake of Sesame in paddy soil. The experiments were conducted at the Department of Agronomy, Faculty of Agriculture, Kasetsart University. The paddy soil is clay from Sing Buri province. The factors that the test has 2 factors: 1)sesame variety is white sesame,CM-53 and black sesame,CM-07 2) levels of phosphorus fertilizer 16-0-0,16-20-0 and 16-40-0 . Treatment in a 2x3 factorial randomized complete block with 3 replications. Analysis of phosphorus in soil and seeds and Sesame leaves and stems. The results showed that sesame seeds are different does not affect the absorption of phosphorus in the paddy soil. And phosphorus added as a second cause is the accumulation of phosphorus in sesame seeds has increased significantly. So sesame is a plant that has the potential to absorb more phosphorus utilization. And can recommend the sesame crop after rice and fertilizer green manure and grow revenue to farmers to increase the productivity of sesame seeds.
